Where’s the Nearest Payphone?

If you saw this payphone just twenty years ago, you would probably think you were in a bad neighborhood and perhaps it was vandalized.

Yet, the picture was taken in a good neighborhood last week.

The only difference is that time has passed.

Practically, no one uses a payphone today, and nearly all municipals have abandoned them.

It’s a wake up call that time and place bias perceptions.
