How to sit?
How to eat?
How to love?
How to walk?
How to relax?
How to fight?
How to see?
How to connect?
How to focus?
These are short, simple, and essential questions we often overlook.
They all happen to be names of short and profound books by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
In, “How to Focus,” he writes of walking meditation, “It is possible to enjoy every step you make at any time you want. Whenever you feel the need to move from one place to another, no matter how short the distance. If you make take 5 steps, then make those 5 steps into a walking meditation.”
Until now, walking meditation was a practice that was just mindful walking, focusing on each step, and feeling the feet touch the ground to help feel grounded.
But walking meditation is a microcosm of life.
Once we learn how to walk with intention, then with every step on the journey of life, we can find peace.
