Last year, my daughter didn’t touch the ball once until the final game of the flag football season.
She did nothing except show up with a positive attitude.
Finally, she had enough courage the last game to run the ball and got a first down.
Then came the fall.
Another season where she barely contributed to the team.
It was painful, and admittedly somewhat boring, as a parent to watch her do next to nothing.
But finally, in her third season, things started to click, and her coach needed a quarterback.
She took the role and felt part of a flag team for the first time.
That was only possible because she showed up with a desire to learn and had coaches who supported her.
A child’s potential is the beginning of infinity, if they can just see that they are in it for the long game.
They can win the Super Bowl (and she did) in anything with persistence, hard work, and good coaching.
Go Ellie💥🏈🥇
Good job Ellie ❤️❤️❤️
