Expensive Goals
“Those who play regularly, can you Venmo me for the goals?”
I fronted money for our Old Man Soccer League.
Some people have yet to pay.
No surprise.
But what surprised me was who did.
“I don’t always play, but appreciate when I can,” said one contributor who rarely plays.
He could have shown up to the next game and no one would have said a word.
But he wanted to support old men continuing to play.
